Typo in The Newspaper

So there was an article in a local paper about one of the local buying clubs that I sell to. It was very good except for one glaring typo in regards to my business of course.
It said that I deliver " Holstein Milk ". Where in the world did that come from! I'm trying not to be too offended, but I take pride in our high-fat milk from JERSEY cows, and in fact the majority of my products are based around CREAM. Sour cream, cream cheese, creme fraiche, pints of cream, cream top yogurt, and raw creamline milk.
Taking a breath and then heading out to milk my tiny, 700-800lb FAWN COLORED, 8.75% butterfat producing HOLSTEINS! LOL!
I really am trying not to panic, but without causing offense to Holstein cow owners, PERSONALLY I wouldn't buy milk if it was touted as being from Holsteins. But that's just a matter of personal taste, it's clear we like our coffee with lot's of Jersey cream in it.

  1. Oops!

I'm with you! I love my Jerseys!

  2. That's bizarre. I wonder where they got Holstein from? Maybe they thought to differentiate your milk from goat's milk, but thought that 'cow milk' didn't sound as good as 'Holstein milk.' It's probably not worth it to ask for a correction, but I'd be tempted!

  3. One of my pet peeves - all milk cows are Holsteins and all draft horses are Clydesdales.

They just don't think there is a difference.

    Congrats on the mention, though.

  4. You know what they say throw a quarter into a bucket of Holstein milk and you can still read In God WE Trust. Then there is the one about being down at the beach but its X rated.

  5. The leader of that buying club is WONDERFUL and immediately sent out an email clarifying the mistake and giving me a good review at the same time! I really am grateful for the mention and all the dedicated cutomers that have kept us small farmers going through this tough time of year. This is the 1st winter that the girls ( cows )and I have had steady employment!
Glad I wasn't just being petty ( maybe a little bit ) about the Holstein thing. I love that quarter in the Holstein milk line, I'll have to file that away in my brain for just the right moment.
